টাকীতে চলল বুলডোজার! ইছামতির তীরে অবৈধ হোটেল গুঁড়িয়ে দিল প্রশাসন।

 টাকী পুরসভা এলাকায় শুরু হলো বড়সড় উচ্ছেদ অভিযান। হাইকোর্টের কড়া নির্দেশে ইছামতি নদীর তীরবর্তী এলাকায় গড়ে ওঠা একাধিক অবৈধ হোটেল ও লজ ভাঙতে সরাসরি নামানো হলো বুলডোজার। প্রশাসন সূত্রে খবর, নিয়মনীতি লঙ্ঘন করে নদীর পরিবেশ বিপন্ন করায় এই সমস্ত হোটেল মালিকদের বেশ কিছুদিন আগেই লিখিত নোটিশ দেওয়া হয়েছিল। কিন্তু জায়গা খালি না করায় অবশেষে এদিন সকাল থেকে বিশাল পুলিশ বাহিনী নিয়ে উচ্ছেদে নামে প্রশাসন। মুহূর্তের মধ্যে গুঁড়িয়ে দেওয়া হয় বেআইনি পাকা ও আধাপাকা পরিকাঠামো। আদালতের এই রায় ও প্রশাসনের কড়া পদক্ষেপকে স্বাগত জানিয়েছেন স্থানীয় পরিবেশপ্রেমী ও সাধারণ মানুষ।

A major eviction drive has begun in the Taki Municipality area. Following strict orders from the High Court, bulldozers were deployed to demolish several illegal hotels and lodges that had come up along the banks of the Ichamati River.

According to administration sources, these hotel owners had been served written notices quite some time ago for violating regulations and endangering the river's environment. However, as the premises were not vacated, the administration finally launched the eviction drive this morning, backed by a large police force. Within moments, the illegal permanent and semi-permanent structures were razed to the ground.

Local environmentalists and residents have welcomed the court's verdict and the administration's strict action.
